SMILE MAKER is an initiative of the Waypoint Foundation (TWF) of Key Largo in partnership with the Keys Area Health Education Center (AHEC) of Marathon. TWF is a tax-exempt public charity incorporated in the State of Florida and recognized by the IRS as of June 1, 2015.
Founded by Clarice Yentsch with a mission to Celebrate Creativity, TWF focuses on Education, Exhibitions and Collaboration to address unmet needs in the Florida Keys.

On June 1, 2020, Christine K. Golia became President of the Waypoint Foundation.
Now serving as President, Chris Golia was awarded a Waypoint Fellowship in 2018, and joined the Smile Maker team in 2020. A graduate from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor’s degree, Chris has spent most of her career in health care positions. She recently retired as Director, Patient Experience for a local hospice, and continues to volunteer visiting hospice patients, offering support and caregiver respite. Chris considers it a privilege to be involved in helping improve the lives of the less fortunate, in gratitude for all that life has given to her.
